It started with a leap of faith to move to New York (for both of us).

For Caroline, it was always the next step after college. After spending every summer working in NYC she moved there after graduating without a second thought. For Ian, it was the long term dream that finally happened when the time was right.

It started with a Bumble swipe.

2 swipes to the right the day after Ian moved to NYC, an initial message (from Caroline), and a subsequent ask for a first date (also from Caroline) lead to the planning of the first date (planning made possible by Caroline as well, but are we really surprised at this point?)

It started with an awkward side hug.

This one was all Ian. We cannot make this up. He also had the audacity to ask if it was "Carolyn or Caroline." Don't worry, the date got better from there.

It started with a (9 mile) walk in Riverside Park.

Probably would have worn more comfortable shoes if we would have known we would want to spend this much time together. We love our walks together to this day, brainstorming life moves and business ideas. 

It started with a bouquet of newly sharped pencils.

You can't have a New York love story start in Riverside Park and not bring up You've Got Mail. We realized on our date that this movie was an absolute favorite for both of us. On the second date, Ian showed up with a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils (and showed up with them again the day he proposed in Riverside).

Oh hi. We're so glad you're here. If you made it this far into our site, you must really love us. You were somehow involved in this story - Whether before, during, or after and we're so grateful for that. We have some truly incredible people in our lives that shaped the twists and turns that lead us to each other and this amazing life we get to lead. So we just want to say THANK YOU!
